I saw your face in the Moon
In Yesterday morning’s darkness, I travelled through town alone
And I thought about things and I thought about you
Eight months since you were home.
January blues and night time hues coupled to confound my gloom
But light brought hope, no longer to mope
I saw your face in the moon.
A ghost like disk couldn’t be missed
As its fullness lit the sky.
And your face then formed and my heart warmed
And I knew it wasn’t a lie.
And I know you are gone in my heart it’s so long
And I wont see you anytime soon
But for a moment you smiled and my heart it was high
When I saw your face in the moon.
